Tension Collective is a new wave knitting club in Paris. We gather in cafés, wine bars, and unexpected corners of the city to stitch, sip, and connect. Think of us as a social fabric in motion: equal parts creativity, community, and culture.

We’re not your grandmother’s knitting circle, but we draw from the heritage — we’re building a space where yarn meets conversation, where cool girls (and boys) swap pattern ideas as easily as playlists, and where collaboration is woven into every row.

We want to bring knitting back into the cultural conversation — aligning craft with fashion, food, and lifestyle by organizing fiber-centered events in Paris: knitting circles in the coolest spots in the city, natural wine bars and trendy coffee shops.

Follow us on Instagram to be updated on all our events.

Behind Tension

Ida, 27, a Danish-born Barcelona-raised visual artist, has been knitting pretty much all of her life.

Clémence, 29, a French photographer, has picked up knitting three years ago hasn’t let go of the needles ever since.

They met in Paris at a knitting event, and decided they wanted to host more of these, to meet like-minded knitters in the city and create a true community, the way running clubs do — less sweating involved.
